WDRs Workshop for County of Los Angeles Consolidated Sewer Maintenance District Cities
On Wednesday August 31, 2016 the County of Los Angeles Public Works Sewer Maintenance Division conducted a workshop at the City of Lakewood on State and Regional Water Control Board Waste Discharge Requirements and Audits. This four hour work-shop covered a variety of topics from the role and responsibility of each city within the District, public outreach programs such as those on Fats, Oils, and Grease, and how cities should prepare for and Audit. Workshop presenters were from LA County Public Works Department Sewer Maintenance and Environmental Pro-grams Divisions, LA County Department of Public Health, City of Lakewood, and the California Water Environmental Association. The workshop concluded with a question and answer session along with a discussion from various cities who have been through an Audit with the State or Regional Water Control Boards.
