The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works is responsible for hiring consultants to meet the needs of the County's construction projects. Public Works hires the consultants, architects, engineers and other professionals to provide research, reports, studies, analysis, design and management of construction projects. These projects include construction, rehabilitation, refurbishment and maintenance of flood control facilities, streets and highways, sewer and water systems, bridges, water conservation facilities, airports, libraries, health care facilities, court houses, park and beach facilities, probation facilities, and fire stations.
