The Antelope Valley Environmental Collection Center (AVECC) is open on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 9 AM to 3 PM. This permanent household hazardous waste (HHW) collection center is located at the Antelope Valley Public Landfill in the City of Palmdale. The Center provides a safe, efficient and convenient method for the residents of Antelope Valley to drop-off their Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and Electronic Waste (E-waste) free of charge. The County of Los Angeles also offers free mobile HHW/E-Waste Collection Events at other locations throughout the county. The AVECC is a joint partnership between the Cities of Palmdale and Lancaster, the California Intergrated Waste Management Board (now CalRecycle), the County of Los Angeles, Supervisor Antonovich's office, and Waste Management Inc.

Please note that there is a transportation limit of 15 gallons or 125 pounds of hazardous waste per trip. Business waste will not be accepted at the AVECC.
