EarthJam Challenge

The EarthJam Challenge was created as an exciting, educational and entertaining contest that will get your class thinking about ways they can help protect the environment. The contest invites fourth and fifth grades classes in L.A. County to create kid-friendly public service announcements or mock advertisements about reducing, reusing and recycling, and stormwater pollution prevention.

Classes with the top entries win an all-expenses paid trip to EarthJam - the largest environmental conference for kids in Southern California. At EarthJam, kids can learn a variety of ways they can help keep the environment clean by attending "Jam Sessions" or workshops hosted by the numerous environmental organizations in Southern California. A full day of jam sessions, entertainment, lunch and an awards ceremony are waiting for you and your class at EarthJam.
