TRASH RESPONSIBILITY ORDINANCE

Public Works is considering recommendation of an ordinance that would assure universal trash collection services in the Antelope Valley by requiring residents and businesses in the unincorporated County areas to properly dispose of their trash on a weekly basis. Most residents and businesses will not be affected, as they already dispose of their trash properly. The proposed ordinance would provide an additional tool to combat the serious and widespread problem of illegal dumping in the Antelope Valley.

The County conducted two public information meetings, on October 4th and 5th, to consider the draft ordinance. You can submit comments by email to Coby Skye between now and October 31, 2005.
