Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Question:
I recently read on your website about the San Gabriel River Master Plan (http://ladpw.org/wmd/watershed/sg/mp/scope12.cfm) and was wondering if this actual project had been implemented? If so, what have the financial costs benn and what part of the San Gabriel River would be affected? Thank you

Answer:
The San Gabriel River Master Plan document provides a comprehensive and consensus based vision of the River. It integrates 134 potential enhancement projects identified by the County of Los Angeles, the 19 cities along the River, and many public and community organizations who participated in developing the Master Plan. The County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors adopted the San Gabriel River Master Plan on June 13, 2006. The potential enhancement projects are funded and implemented by various agencies within their jurisdiction. The Master Plan covers a 1-mile river corridor for 58 miles from within the San Gabriel Mountains to the Pacific Ocean.
