Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Question:
I live in an apartment building in the city of Los Angeles with no recycling containers/pickup. This whole area is full of apartment buildings and I don't think any of them have recycling bins/pick up. What a waste. Most of these buildings have the trash bins in locked garages so theft wouldn't be an issue with recycling bins. Can you help or direct me to who can?

Answer:
Thank you for contacting the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works. We provide services to the unincorporated areas of L.A. County.

The City of Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation provides eligible multifamily residential buildings with FREE recycling services.
