Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Question:
What form of proof do I need with a disability and are bicycles allowed on buses?

Answer:
The Antelope Valley Transit Authority (AVTA) provides local bus service in Lancaster, Palmdale, and the County of Los Angeles unincorporated areas in the Antelope Valley. The local transit buses can accommodate bicycles. There are racks on the front of the buses to stow a bicycle while you ride the bus. Disabled residents who are Access Services riders are eligible for free rides on AVTA local bus service. The rider must present their Access Services ID when boarding the bus. For more information on AVTA fares visit AVTA LOCAL SERVICE FARES. For more information on AVTA services please visit www.AVTA.com or call (661) 945-9445.
