I am part of LADWP Department of Water and Power Development and Standards group. I was interested in finding out how the County of LA approve manufacturers for methane gas protection requirements. Do the manufacturers need to be approved with the City of Los Angeles?
Answer:
The approve manufacturers does not need to be approved with the City of Los Angeles in order for us to approve the product. However, it will help the product manufacturer in the process of approval if they have already demonstrated their products had been approved by other agencies/jurisdictions.
