As residents of unincorporated Whittier board our transit buses they may have to wear shades. These 35-foot long buses feature a bold and distinctive graphic style reflecting the line's identity as the Sunshine Shuttle. Our alternatively-fueled buses are ADA-compliant, and are easy to identify as they roll through the community. Residents along the two Sunshine Shuttle routes, which serve more than 100 bus stops between the Whittwood Town Center to the East, Sorensen Park to the West, and Mayberry Park to the South can see colorful "sunshine" logo bus stop signs along the way.
The two route shuttle service connects to transit lines operated by the following transit providers: Metro, Foothill Transit, the cities of Montebello and Norwalk, and the County-operated Los Nietos Shuttle. Through this regional network, the Sunshine Shuttle opens the door for local residents to easily access a variety of local and regional destinations, including libraries, schools, parks, medical and social service providers, youth and senior community centers, and major shopping centers.
