Please be advised that customer service for transportation permits will be unavailable on all County holidays. In anticipation of a transport on or near a holiday, applicants are encouraged to apply at least two business days in advance to allow adequate processing time if necessary. Our standard customer service hours are: 7 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday. County holidays include: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr’s Birthday, President’s Day, Cesar Chavez, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Indigenous People’s Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas. ********** Route 710 Open to Permit Loads in the Port of Long Beach **********

Caltrans will issue transportation permits for oversize-overweight loads traversing the Gerald Desmond Bridge on Route 710 effective Thursday, March 24th, 2022. All transportation permits -- including single trip and annual -- issued by the County of Los Angeles and the City of Long Beach for travel on the Gerald Desmond Bridge will be valid until they expire. Upon expiration of those annual permits, customers are advised to contact Caltrans Transportation Office for renewal.
