Update Project
Status
The detailed design
and system procurement phase is under way.
The City of
San Dimas has selected their system for the proposed
ATMS, per the Concept Design report recommendations. The installation of
the ATMS systems in the cities of Diamond Bar, La Verne,
and Claremont is underway. The
report summarizing the existing
communication infrastructure in the cities
of San Dimas and Claremont has been reviewed by the
County and is awaiting revisions by the consultant. This will help identify the
communication needs within these cities.
The construction
contract for the segment of fiber optic interconnect extending from
Stoner Creek to Nogales Street on Colima Road (approximately 1.5 miles),
which includes CCTV cameras at Nogales Street/Colima Road and Fullerton
Road/Colima Road has been advertised and closed after
receiving bids. This contract is expected to be awarded in
March 2008. The design for the
CCTV cameras in the following locations is in the final stage:
- Claremont—Indian
Hill/Arrow Highway
- Diamond Bar—Golden
Springs Drive/Grand Avenue; Grand Avenue/Diamond Bar Boulevard;
Diamond Bar Boulevard/Golden Springs Drive; Diamond Bar
Boulevard/Pathfinder Road; Golden Springs Drive/Brea Canyon Road;
and Golden Springs Drive/Lemon Avenue.
- Industry—Azusa
Avenue/Gale Avenue; Fullerton Road/Gale Avenue; and Azusa Avenue/Colima
Road.
- Industry/LA County—Hacienda
Boulevard/Gale Avenue; and Nogales
Street/Gale Avenue/Walnut Drive.
- La Verne—Arrow
Highway/White Avenue
- San Dimas—Arrow
Highway/Bonita/210 Ramps; and Arrow Highway/Maimone Avenue.
The cities of Diamond Bar and
Industry intend to contribute local funding to purchase additional
CCTV cameras in their respective jurisdictions.

and needs assessment in San Dimas and Claremont
