Overview
Component 1: Pomona Valley Forum-Wide ATMS
The Forum-Wide Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) is intended to build upon the benefits achieved by the existing time-based signal synchronization projects implemented by the County. When installed, the ATMS will allow for two-way communications, real-time database management, and control and monitoring functions between the traffic signal controllers and each affected agency.
The Conceptual Design Master Plan will include infrastructure requirements and conceptual design of the following:
- A sub-regional TMC in the City of Pomona;
- Monitoring/control workstations located in the existing facilities of each municipality located in the Pomona Valley Traffic Forum and Route 60 Corridor area;
- Data and video links to the State of California Department of Transportation's (Caltrans') District 7 and District 8 Traffic Operations Centers (TOC); and
- An interface and link with the proposed Los Angeles County TMC and other proposed sub-regional TMCs to be located in the other Los Angeles County Traffic Forum areas.
