Prior to entering a facility/building or attending an in-person meeting, please conduct a self-check by answering the following screening questions:
  1. Do you have COVID-19 symptoms?
  2. Do you have an elevated body temperature (greater than or equal to 100.4℉ or 38℃)?
  3. Are you currently subject to a Health Officer Isolation or Quarantine Order?
If you answered yes to any of the questions, please reschedule your appointment. The County Health Officer Order strongly recommends that all employees wear a face mask while working indoors, and in shared vehicles, regardless of vaccination status. Masks are strongly encouraged for all visitors.

HISTORY OF THE C&D ORDINANCE
January 2005

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors adopted the C&D Debris Recycling and Reuse Ordinance ( Chapter 20.87 of the Los Angeles County Code), which requires at least 50% of all debris generated by C&D projects located in unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County to be recycled or reused.

January 2017

Los Angeles County Public Works begins to enforce the following C&D diversion requirements in accordance with the 2016 CalGreen Manual:

  • All projects that generate C&D debris are to recycle or reuse the C&D debris at a minimum rate of 65%.
  • All Universal Waste recovered from a nonresidential project site must be disposed of properly.
  • All trees, stumps, rocks, and associated vegetation and soils resulting primarily from land clearing shall be reused or recycled.
January 2023

The County Board of Supervisors passed the Construction and Demolition Debris Recycling and Reuse Ordinance Update; an update to the CND Ordinance established in 2005. Once the CND Guidelines document is finalized, it provide information on how the Ordinance update will be implemented and enforcement of the Ordinance update will commence promptly thereafter.
