Los Angeles County Waterworks District No. 36, Val Verde


Del Valle Road Water Main Replacement Project

  • Los Angeles County Waterworks District No. 36 is upgrading approximately 7,000 feet of existing water main serving the community of Val Verde. The new 12-inch water main will improve system reliability and support the health, safety and resiliency of the community’s water supply.
  • Construction began on August 23 and is expected to end in May 2022. Traffic delays may occur during construction hours, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Crews will be working within Del Valle Road, Hunstock Street and Lincoln Avenue (including some shoulders and sidewalks).
  • On Wednesday, April 20, as part of the ongoing Del Valle Road Watermain Replacement Project by Los Angeles County Waterworks Districts, water service will be impacted for approximately 3 hours between 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Residents adjacent to N. Lincoln Avenue, Hunstock Street, and a section of Del Valle Road will experience temporary service interruptions.

Williams Ranch Joint Community Facilities Agreement

  • The Williams Ranch development proposes to construct approximately 497 dwelling units with community amenities and related infrastructure, north of Hasley Canyon Road near Del Valle Road in Castaic. The William S. Hart Union High School District formed Community Facilities District (CFD) No. 2021-1 to provide financing for certain public facilities necessitated by the proposed development. CFD-financed water system facilities may ultimately be owned and operated by District No. 36, per a Joint Community Facility Agreement.
