VOLUNTARY NIGHTTIME CURFEW
All aircraft operators, except for flights related to emergency, lifesaving, firefighting, law enforcement, government agencies, and services to the public such as news media, are requested to avoid aircraft arrivals and departures between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. daily. The County-owned airports are surrounded by noise sensitive residential and commercial areas. In order to mitigate potential negative impacts from aircraft operations and enhance compatibility with the surrounding communities, the Department of Public Works maintains a proactive noise mitigation program with requested VFR flight paths, operational restrictions, and limited activities during certain hours of the day.

In consideration for the communities surrounding the County-owned airports, pilots are requested to operate their aircraft in the quietest practical manner consistent with safety and Air Traffic Control instructions.

  1. Runway 12 arrivals -- crosswind entry to standard left-hand pattern.
  2. Runway 30 arrivals -- crosswind entry to non-standard right-hand pattern.
  3. No touch-and-go landings or pattern practice between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.
  4. Helicopters shall not air-taxi, or hover-taxi, over ramp areas or taxilanes.
  5. Watch for arriving and departing helicopter traffic mid-field.
  6. Runway 12 VFR departures -left downwind departures.
  7. Runway 30 VFR departures -- straight-out departure.
